Molly and Mama – an inspiring space where beginner stitchers can start their creative journey!

I’m Lauren Wright, the friendly face behind Molly and Mama. Molly and Mama is my creative world, where you’re encouraged to try new sewing and craft projects made with felt, hand stitchery, appliqué and more. Everyone is welcome, especially beginners.

There’s a little bit of Molly (my grandmother) and Mama (my mother) in all my creations – after all, they’re the two amazing women who inspired my love of all things creative and encouraged me to follow my dreams.

I love to share my knowledge, my designs and ideas. So I’m regularly updating the Molly and Mama blog with tutorials, projects and a look behind-the-scenes at some of my favourite shoots! I also include free additions to my PDF patterns, and pattern hacks, so be sure to pop over and take a peek.

Thanks for sharing the Molly and Mama journey, Lauren x

Meet Lauren - The face behind Molly and Mama

Lauren Wright hails from a small mountain town just north of Toowoomba, Australia. This charming rural setting is the perfect backdrop to inspire a craftswoman like Lauren. When not caring for her very patient husband and two energetic children, she can be found in her large country garden, soaking up the sunshine and picking pretty roses. And in the quiet moments, you’ll find her hand stitching flowers too. All those beautiful blooms often find their way into her Molly and Mama designs. They are expressed in dainty hand embroidery, pretty patchwork, fun appliqué and gorgeous felt sewing patterns.

Lauren has a passion for encouraging beginners on their creative journey, and inspiring them to keep traditional sewing techniques and fibre arts alive. Visit Lauren’s website www.MollyandMama.com.au to discover more about her beautiful crafts and sewing projects.
